  The scale moved a couple of pounds as of yesterday. My normal weigh in day is Tuesday but last Tuesday I had not lost anything and needed to see if I was doing ok. That makes 7 lbs. in 2 1/2 weeks. One thing I have learned is that I cannot do a carb bar for dinner. Breakfast or lunch is fine, but if I have it with dinner, I end up being very hungry and craving about 9:00 or 10:00 p.m. One of the stipulations I have put on myself is no eating after 7:00 p.m. Most of the time, this is fine. If I get hungry I drink water. Works well. But if I have a low carb, it just doesn't seem to do it. I think I'm doing pretty good. I have had more cravings in the last few days whereas the first week, I had stopped having cravings at all. But I know I have to learn to live with temptations and cravings at times too. My mind is not on this much right now, as my 13 year old is sick and we are having to run from doctor to doctor and test to test. I know that she will be ok but for now, I have to guard against emotional eating as well. Today she is having an EEG. We will be at the hospital for about 2 hours and I am going to have to keep myself from having a Dr. Pepper and/or snack. Of course, my hubby will be there with me and he is a great encouragement and sometimes a low carb enforcer, lol, so I'm sure I'll get through it. Emotionally, this is one of the toughest things I have ever been through in my life. I praise God for helping me with my emotional eating before this happened. Thank you God for another day of hope and perseverance. You are Awesome!!!!!!
