We had a wonderful time with out DIL and grandson, Noah. They stayed an extra day and we had a great time. Noah decided if he put my green afghan over his head he could be a tree so he attacked Gumpy and Gummy (Dick and I) and gave us "tree hugs". He loved eating in the dining hall at the Village and told the chef that lunch "rocked". He had all his favorite foods - lentil soup, broccoli, cottage cheese, peaches and chocolate milk. Since he ate such a good lunch he got a dish of mint chocolate chip ice cream for dessert. The lunch lady put a cherry on top just for him. As we left he told her he would come back whenever she was working. He walked up to our neighbors and said, "pleased to meet you - I'm Noah". They told them their names and asked him questions which he answered. I was very impressed that a 3 year old (almost 4) wasn't more shy and afraid. His mom had told him that people at the Village weren't strangers so it was OK to talk to them.

Are you going to see fireworks tonight? Elyria isn't having any due to budget concerns.
