Status: Approved
NameHomemade Creamed Jello
CategoryDessert
Serves/Yields4 to 8 servings
SourceShelley
DifficultyEasy
Ingredients
1 cup water, boiled
1/2 cup heavy cream and 1/2 cup water
1 cup cottage cheese
2 Tablespoons sour cream
2 Tablespoons UNconcentrated Lemon Juice
green food coloring (optional)
2 Packets Knox Plain Gelatine
1/4 Teaspoon white Stevia Extract
(or equivalent sweetener)
1/4 cup ground nuts (optional)

Directions
Step: 1Do the following in a corning ware dish no smaller than 6 inch square and 2 inch deep or similar flat dish:

Mix cottage cheese, sourcream and nuts; combine heavy cream and the cold water and add stevia. Add all to mixture. Take the Lemon Juice, add the food coloring and the Knox Plain Gelatine, stir for a short time, then add 1 cup boiling water to it, stir. Let it cool for a few minutes and pour it over the other ingredients. Mix all gently and refrigerate. Should set in 2 hours or a bit longer. Excellent.

For those who are not concerned about Aspartame, use a big package of sugarfree and fatfree Lime jello ( do not use Knox Gelatine, Lime Juice and Stevia in that case)
