5 cups chopped cabbage1 cup beef broth/stock4 crushed garlic cloves1/8 cup butter1/2 an onion slivered
1 tsp tumeric1 tsp cumin1 tsp cilantro1 tsp chili peppers1/2 tsp cayenne peperInstead of tumeric, cumin and cilantro you can use 1 tbsp chili powder.
| | Directions | | Step: 1 | Heat skillet, melt butter add onions, cook until translusent (see through) add garlic. Sautee a few minutes. Add cabbage toss, add the rest of the ingredients, mix well. Braise on med/low heat until liquid reduces to half. Stirring often, in order to infuse flavors. If your not into eating spicy food, omit the cayenne and chili peppers. This will be spicy, as the liquid reduces the flavors become more enhanced.I've change this recipe quite often, I've added bacon and or mushrooms. Its not written in stone, be adventerous. There your tastebuds. You could use chicken stock... |
