Cabbage Lasagna
Status: Approved
NameCabbage Lasagna
CategoryPizza and Pasta
DifficultyEasy
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
salt & pepper
1/2 c. prepared spaghetti sauce
1/2 onion chopped
1 bell pepper chopped
2 cloves garlic chopped
1/2 c. ricotta cheese
1c. mozzarella cheese
1/4 c. parmesan cheese
Cabbage leaves

Directions
Step: 1Core cabbage and remove several leaves (mine usually tear but that's ok). Steam leaves until softened. Brown beef and discard fat. Sprinkle with salt & pepper (not too much salt), add spaghetti sauce, water, onion, bell pepper, garlic and simmer until the veggies are soft and the moisture has evaporated. Spray dish/pan with oil and layer half the cabbage leaves. Spread with half the meat sauce, half the ricotta and half the mozzarella. Repeat layers and finish with the parmesan cheese. Bake in 350-degree oven for 30-40 minutes. The dish I use is a round corning casserole dish and I have no idea what size it is. Also, sometimes I use a little more spaghetti sauce and ricotta.
