Ingredients
4-6 lb Chuck Roast (or lamb haunch) Fat trimmed
2 Cans Crushed Tomatoes
1 Can Tomato Paste
1-2 Large White or Sweet Onions (Chopped)
2-3 lbs Fresh String Beans (Cleand, Ends Trimmed)
3-5 TBS Ground Cinnamon
Salt & Pepper to Taste
3-5 Quarts Wate
Directions
Step: 1large stock pot, cover with water and simmer 3-4 hours.

Skim fat and scum and add onions, return to simmer for 15 minutes.

Add string beans, return to a boil and simmer for 20 more minutes.

Add tomatoes and spices (cinnamon should should have a pronounced taste without being hot). Simmer 20 more minutes or until beans are soft.

This is an authentic Lebanese dinner which my grandmother used to make. It also happens to be low in carbs (if you don't load your plate with the sauce). Great winter stick-to-your ribs fare!
