1 pound ground beef
1 egg, slightly beaten
2 Tbsp. soy powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1/3 cup finely chopped green pepper
2 Tbsp. butter
1 cup tomato sauce
2 Tbsp. brown sugar substitute
1 Tbsp. vinegar
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. prepared mustard
dash hot pepper sauce
Step: 1Mix thoroughly beef, egg, soy powder and salt; shape into 50 small 1/2 inch meatballs. Arrange in shallow baking pan (12 x 8 x 2 inches). Broil 4 inches from heat until browned; turn once. Pour off fat. Meanwhile, in sauce-pan, cook onion and green pepper in butter until tender. Add meatballs and remaining ingredients. Cover; cook over low heat 10 minutes. Stir occasionally.
