|This recipe is great...everyone in my family, including my children love it. The Muenster Cheese makes the crust for this low carb vegetable/casserole/side dish. It is great!!|
|12 slices of Muenster Cheese
2 10 oz packages of chopped frozen spinach (thawed and drained WELL)
1 8 oz container of cream cheese (softened)
1/3 cup fresh parmesan cheese
salt, pepper, and garlic for taste
|Step: 1||*Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
*Line a 9 inch pie pan or quiche dish with 7 or 8 slices of Muenster Cheese.
*In a mixing bowl, combine the spinach, cream cheese, parmesan, and eggs. Add garlic powder, salt and pepper for taste.
*Put the spinach mixture on top of the muenster cheese, in the pie pan.
*Put the remainder of Muenster Cheese on top of the spinach mixture to make the top "crust of the pie.
*Place in oven at 350 degrees for 35 minutes...until the top is brown and bubbly. Let it "set up" for 10 minutes once you remove it from the oven.
**Be sure to drain the spinach well, or the pie will be "watery".
